Ski-In/Ski-Out Condos and Lodges in Mammoth and Tahoe

True ski-in/ski-out means you ski to and from your door. Slopeside means a short walk to the lift, and gondola access means you walk to a gondola.

Juniper Springs Resort near Eagle Lodge has condos that ski in and out via the Eagle Express chair, plus heated pools and underground parking.

Sunstone nearby also advertises ski-in/ski-out, and a free shuttle runs to the Village.

The Village is the livelier base, and the Village Gondola runs up to Canyon Lodge.

The Village at Palisades Tahoe has condos steps from the Funitel and KT-22. Everline Resort & Spa, formerly the Resort at Squaw Creek, has its own lift, a spa and pools.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is a true ski-in/ski-out hotel at mid-mountain, with a spa, fire pits and slopeside dining.

Northstar Village condos like Catamount, Great Bear and Iron Horse have gondola access.

Marriott Grand Residence Club, Lake Tahoe is next to the Heavenly Village gondola in South Lake Tahoe.

Kirkwood has ski-in/ski-out condos like The Lodge at Kirkwood and Snowcrest. Sugar Bowl’s car-free Village, reached by gondola, has The Lodge at Sugar Bowl.

Ski-in/ski-out properties sell out first for Christmas, Presidents Day weekend and spring break. Book six months or more ahead and expect minimum stays, sometimes a full week.

Midweek and late spring are cheaper. Read cancellation terms, since early snow is unpredictable.
