Planning a Trip to Yosemite
Half Dome, El Capitan, and waterfalls, all around one valley floor. Come early, park once, and take the shuttle from there.
What to Do in Yosemite
Pull over at Tunnel View before anything else
First turnout past the tunnel on Wawona Road. Go at sunrise.
Walk the Lower Yosemite Fall loop
Flat mile to the base. Best in May, dry by August.
Drive up to Glacier Point for the last light
An hour from the valley floor. Closed once the snow comes.
Take Tioga Road across to the Eastern Sierra
Tuolumne Meadows, Olmsted Point, then Mono Lake. Summer only.
