Planning a Trip to Mendocino County
Three hours past the Golden Gate and the coast empties out. Mendocino is clapboard houses on a bluff, sea caves underneath, and redwoods ten minutes inland.
What to Do in Mendocino County
Loop the headlands trail around the village
Blowholes and sea arches the whole way round the bluff.
Kayak the sea caves at Van Damme
Guided trips run out of Little River in the calm months.
Cross the Punch Bowl at Russian Gulch
