Mammoth Lakes Basin Cabins
Alpine lakes and lodges along Lake Mary Road, 10 minutes above town. Most are summer only, since the road closes past Twin Lakes from about November to late May.

1. Tamarack Lodge
Historic cabins on Twin Lakes, open year-round, with a restaurant and a cross-country ski center.
2 to 4. Wildyrie Lodge, Crystal Crag Lodge and Woods Lodge
Wildyrie and Crystal Crag are summer-only resorts on Lake Mary with boat rentals. Woods Lodge is on Lake George near the Crystal Lake trailhead.
Convict Lake Cabins
A few minutes south of the Mammoth turnoff on Highway 395, below Laurel Mountain and Mount Morrison. The lake loop is 2.5 flat miles.
5. Convict Lake Resort
Cabins up to large homes and a well-regarded restaurant. Open year-round.
June Lake Loop Cabins
20 to 25 minutes north of Mammoth on the June Lake Loop (Highway 158), with four lakes, a village and June Mountain. The north end can close in heavy snow.
6. Double Eagle Resort & Spa
Cabins, spa and restaurant below Carson Peak.
7 to 10. Fern Creek, June Lake Pines, Reverse Creek and Silver Lake
Fern Creek Lodge has historic cabins and is the best value. June Lake Pines Cottages are near the village.
Reverse Creek Lodge has creekside cabins and chalets. Silver Lake Resort has lake cabins, a café and boats, summer only.

Summer vs. Winter Cabins in Mammoth
Summer is peak season; see my summer in Mammoth Lakes guide. In winter most Lakes Basin lodges close, but Tamarack Lodge, Convict Lake Resort and many June Lake options stay open.
