Sonoma County Treehouses in the Redwoods
Most are in redwoods between the Russian River and the coast, 30 minutes from Santa Rosa and 2 hours from San Francisco.
Sonoma Treehouse Adventures, Occidental
Treehouse stay with a canopy zipline and sky bridge tour, dinner included, priced per treehouse for up to four. It reminded me of the Ewok village in Return of the Jedi.
The zipline-only tour is a half day for riders 10 and up within weight limits.
Airbnb Treehouses Near Guerneville and Bodega Bay
Spyglass Treehouse has glass walls, a soaking tub and a barrel sauna. The Crow’s Nest Treehouse in Monte Rio sleeps four. Both were paid Airbnb partnerships on my Instagram.
Eagle’s Nest Treehouse Farm Stay is 30 feet up on a 400-acre ranch near Bodega Bay.
Big Sur Yurts and Tree Houses
Treebones Resort has bluff-top yurts near Gorda, campsites and the Human Nest. Post Ranch Inn’s tree houses are rooms on stilts above the Pacific.

Wine Country Safari Tents
Safari West near Santa Rosa has tent cabins on a wildlife preserve with giraffes and zebras. AutoCamp Russian River has Airstreams and tents in Guerneville.
Glamping Near Yosemite
AutoCamp Yosemite in Midpines is an hour from Yosemite Valley on Highway 140. Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite, near Groveland, has cabins and a tavern.
